Anastasia leads student performance at Lake Eden Arts Festival

Anastasia teaches viola, jazz, aural skills, and voice to students of all ages in Asheville, NC.   For viola, she uses the Karen Tuttle Coordination approach.  For voice, she uses fun, engaging, and relaxing games to free and expand the breath, with jazz standards, pop songs, and folk songs as a basis for learning.

For all instruments, she incorporates exercises and activities to train body awareness.  Her teaching philosophy blends comfort, technique, critical thinking, problem solving, musical enrichment, and fun.  She emphasizes ear training and musical vocabulary development regardless of level and genre.

Anastasia is currently teaching privately in Winston-Salem, NC.  She offers individual and group lessons in viola and jazz voice.  She is a viola performance student at the UNC School of the Arts, studying with Sheila Browne.

She is also a teaching artist with LEAF Schools & Streets and teaches at Girls Rock Asheville summer camp.
