Anastasia leads student performance at Lake Eden Arts Festival

Anastasia has taught viola, violin, and voice to students of all ages in Asheville, NC.   For viola and violin, she uses the Suzuki method as a base for teaching classical technique.  For voice, she uses fun, engaging, and relaxing games to free and expand the breath, with popular and folk songs as a basis for learning.

For all instruments, she incorporates exercises and activities to train body awareness.  Her teaching philosophy blends comfort, technique, musical enrichment, and fun.  Although she teaches students how to read music and works with students who know how to read musical notation, she emphasizes ear training and thus teaches by ear unless otherwise desired by the student.

Anastasia is currently teaching privately in Winston-Salem, NC.  She offers individual and group lessons in viola, violin, and singing.  She is a viola performance student at the UNC School of the Arts, studying with Sheila Browne.

She is also a teaching artist with LEAF Schools & Streets and teaches at Girls Rock Asheville summer camp.
